Join Our Circle of Friends
Our fundraising body, The Friends of The Art Gallery of Calgary, is a committee made up of business leaders and philanthropists from the community. Their passion for The AGC and for deepening connections to art and culture in our community has led them to contribute their time and skill to help The AGC make art a part of everyday life for Calgarians.
The Friends of The Art Gallery of Calgary are represented by individuals from a variety of business sectors, organizations and backgrounds. They support the President and CEO and The AGC staff in areas of advocacy, resource development, marketing and communications and programming.
The Friends of The Art Gallery of Calgary serve on the committee on a voluntary basis for a minimum of two years. During this time, The Friends ensure resources are in place to support the continuous development of exhibitions, education (K-12) and public programs, develop and implement plans to engage donors with The AGC, plan solicitation of donor support to meet or exceed operations expenses, and create increased community awareness about The AGC and its cultural contribution to the community.
